trash bin
Where refuse goes
A trash bin is a container for refuse—a receptacle where you toss things you're discarding.
The term is common in American English alongside garbage can and trash can, while British English favors rubbish bin.
In computing, the trash bin (or simply trash) is the folder where deleted files go before permanent removal: I moved the file to the trash bin but haven't emptied it yet.
