real-time editing
Instant collaborative changes
Real-time editing is the ability for multiple users to modify the same document simultaneously, with changes appearing instantly for everyone.
Google Docs popularized this collaborative approach: We were real-time editing the proposal while on a video call.
The term also applies to any editing where results display immediately rather than requiring a save or render step.
