touchlines
Soccer pitch perimeters
Touchlines are the boundary lines running along the long sides of a sports field, especially in soccer and rugby.
When the ball crosses the touchline, it goes out of play: The striker was pushed over the touchline.
Coaches and substitutes pace the touchlines during matches, close to the action but off the pitch.
