to-infinitives
"To go" forms
To-infinitives are verb forms consisting of "to" plus the base verb: to run, to think, to be.
They function as nouns, adjectives, or adverbs: To err is human, a book to read, too tired to continue.
The "to" distinguishes them from bare infinitives, which appear without it: let him go rather than let him to go.
