thunderstrike

Sky's electric blow

A thunderstrike is a bolt of lightning or the impact of a lightning bolt striking something.

The word appears in fantasy games and fiction to describe a dramatic electrical attack from above: The wizard called down a thunderstrike on the enemy camp.

Less commonly, thunderstrike can mean to strike with the force or shock of thunder—to stun or astonish someone as if by a bolt from the sky.
