throwing error
Wild infield throw
In computing, throwing an error means deliberately triggering an exception when code encounters a problem it can't handle: The function throws an error if the input is null.
The thrown error interrupts normal execution and passes control to error-handling code elsewhere in the program.
Developers throw errors to signal invalid states, failed operations, or violated assumptions rather than letting bad data propagate silently.
