theatrical performances
Live drama presentations
Theatrical performances are live presentations of drama, comedy, or other staged entertainment before an audience.
The term encompasses plays, musicals, opera, and similar productions performed in theaters or other venues.
We attended several theatrical performances during our trip to London.
The phrase often carries connotations of professional or formal productions rather than amateur shows.
