teardrop camper

A teardrop camper is a small, lightweight travel trailer with a distinctive rounded shape—bulging in front and tapering to a point at the rear, like a teardrop lying on its side.

Typically towable by ordinary cars, teardrops usually have sleeping space for two and a rear hatch opening to a compact kitchen.

They appeal to minimalist campers and those without large tow vehicles: We took the teardrop camper up the coast for a weekend.
