superscripted
Written slightly elevated
Superscripted describes text or characters positioned slightly above the normal line of type, typically in smaller size.
Footnote numbers are superscripted: The superscripted 3 referred to a source in the bibliography.
Mathematical exponents and ordinal suffixes (1st, 2nd) commonly appear superscripted.
The opposite is subscripted.
