superball
High-bouncing toy sphere
A superball is a small rubber ball with exceptional bounce, made from a synthetic polymer that returns most of its energy when dropped.
The original Superball was a 1960s toy that could bounce higher than the point from which it was released.
The term now applies generically to any highly elastic bouncing ball: The kids spent hours bouncing superballs off the driveway.
