subleasers

Tenants renting out

Subleasers are tenants who rent out all or part of their leased property to someone else.

The subleaser remains responsible to the original landlord while becoming a landlord themselves to the sublessee: The subleasers were still on the hook when their subtenants stopped paying rent.
