Six-cylinder inline motors
A straight-six is an engine configuration with six cylinders arranged in a single row, as opposed to a V6 where cylinders form two banks.
Straight-sixes are prized for their inherent mechanical balance and smooth operation: BMW has always been known for its straight-sixes.
