static stretches
Motionless flexibility holds
Static stretches are stretching exercises where you hold a position for an extended period, typically 15–60 seconds, without movement.
Unlike dynamic stretches that involve motion, static stretches keep muscles lengthened and still: Hold each static stretch for at least 30 seconds.
They're commonly used in cooldown routines to improve flexibility and reduce muscle tension after exercise.
