spin up
Get something going
Spin up means to start, initialize, or bring something into active operation, especially in computing where it refers to launching virtual machines, servers, or cloud instances.
The term derives from the literal spinning up of hard disk platters to operating speed.
In business contexts, it extends to getting any project or team ready for action: We need to spin up a new development environment or Let's spin up a task force to handle this.
The opposite is spin down.
