Spaz is slang for someone clumsy, hyperactive, or uncoordinated.
In American usage, it's mild—almost affectionate: I'm such a spaz, I spilled coffee everywhere.
In British usage, spaz and spastic are serious disability slurs, deeply offensive terms for people with cerebral palsy or other conditions affecting movement.
This transatlantic split has caused problems: Lizzo had to re-record a song after British listeners objected to her use of the word.
Americans traveling to the UK should be aware the word lands very differently there.
