stumbler

One who trips

A stumbler is someone who stumbles—trips, falters, or moves unsteadily.

The word applies literally to physical missteps and figuratively to those who make errors or progress awkwardly: He's a stumbler through life, never quite finding his footing.

A stumbler may also be someone who discovers something by accident, stumbling upon it.
