spaced-out

Lost in thought

Spaced-out describes a dazed, unfocused mental state—as if one's attention has drifted into outer space.

The condition might come from drugs, exhaustion, or simple distraction: She looked completely spaced-out after the red-eye flight.

To space out is to enter this state: I spaced out during the meeting and missed the whole discussion.
