Wets clothes first
Presoaks are preliminary soaking treatments for laundry, designed to loosen stubborn stains before the main wash cycle.
The term refers both to the soaking period itself and to the detergent products formulated for this purpose: I let the grass-stained jeans sit in presoaks overnight.
Many washing machines include a presoak setting.
