half-full
Optimist's glass description
Half-full describes a container filled to approximately its midpoint.
The term is interchangeable with half-empty in literal measurement, but the two carry opposite connotations: half-full suggests optimism or sufficiency, half-empty suggests pessimism or lack.
Is your glass half-full or half-empty? has become a standard test of outlook on life.
