slider phones
Keyboards that hide
Slider phones are mobile phones with a two-part body that slides open to reveal a hidden keyboard or secondary screen.
Popular in the early 2000s before touchscreens dominated, they offered a compact form factor while closed and full typing capability when open: I miss the tactile feel of my old slider phone.
The design allowed for smaller pocket profiles than flip phones while maintaining physical keys.
