signature tunes
Recognizable program music
A signature tune is a piece of music associated with a particular performer, program, or brand—played at the beginning or end of broadcasts to signal identity.
Radio and television shows traditionally open with signature tunes: The talk show's signature tune has been the same for thirty years.
The term extends to any music strongly identified with someone: "Purple Rain" became Prince's signature tune.
