TV theme
Show's signature tune
A TV theme is the music that plays during a television program's opening or closing credits, serving as an audio signature for the show.
The best become iconic and instantly recognizable: I can't hear the Cheers theme without feeling nostalgic.
Some are instrumental, others have lyrics that establish the show's premise or tone.
