shy bladder

Pee-stage fright

Shy bladder is the inability to urinate when others are nearby, particularly in public restrooms.

The condition ranges from mild discomfort to a genuine anxiety disorder (paruresis).

Someone with a shy bladder may wait for a stall rather than use a urinal, or avoid public facilities altogether: I have a shy bladder, so I'll just wait until we get home.
