shooting form
How you shoot
Shooting form is the posture, grip, and motion a player uses when releasing a ball or puck toward a goal.
In basketball, good shooting form involves foot placement, elbow alignment, and follow-through: His shooting form needs work—he's not getting enough arc.
The term applies similarly in hockey, lacrosse, and archery, where consistent form improves accuracy.
