sheep dipping
Flock parasite treatment
Sheep dipping is the practice of immersing sheep in a trough of chemical solution to kill parasites and prevent disease—a routine part of livestock management.
In intelligence and military slang, sheep dipping means creating a false civilian identity for an operative, temporarily "cleaning" their official affiliation: The CIA sheep-dipped him before sending him into the country as a journalist.
