sharklet
Upturned wing edge
A sharklet is a small shark, especially a young one.
The word also names the upturned wingtips on commercial aircraft—vertical extensions at the end of each wing that reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency.
The aviation sense borrows from the shark's fin shape: The new Airbus model features redesigned sharklets.
