sell-out
Every ticket gone
A sell-out is an event for which all tickets have been sold: The concert was a sell-out.
More often, it describes someone who abandons principles for profit or popularity—an artist who goes commercial, a politician who betrays constituents: Fans called him a sell-out after he signed with the major label.
The verb is sell out: They sold out in minutes; He sold out his beliefs.
