self acceptance

Embracing one's flaws

Self acceptance is recognizing and embracing who you are—strengths, flaws, and all—without harsh self-judgment.

It doesn't mean complacency or refusing to grow, but rather approaching yourself with the same understanding you might extend to a friend: Self acceptance took years, but I finally stopped fighting who I am.

The term appears frequently in psychology and self-help contexts.
