security desk
Lobby guard station
A security desk is a staffed station, typically near a building's entrance, where guards monitor access, check credentials, and handle visitor registration.
Office buildings, hospitals, and apartment complexes commonly have security desks: Sign in at the security desk and they'll give you a visitor badge.
The term also refers to the personnel working there: Call the security desk if you see anything suspicious.
