Cloudy apple alcohol
Scrumpy is rough, strong cider from the West Country of England, particularly Somerset and Devon.
Unlike commercial ciders, scrumpy is traditionally cloudy, unfiltered, and made from whatever apples are available.
It has a reputation for being deceptively potent: Two pints of scrumpy and I couldn't find my way home.
