screen walls
Freestanding visual barriers
Screen walls are walls designed to provide partial separation or concealment while allowing some light, air, or visual connection through openings or perforations.
They may be decorative latticework, privacy barriers between outdoor spaces, or architectural elements with patterned cutouts: The courtyard featured ornate screen walls of carved stone.
Unlike solid walls, they filter rather than fully block.
