school edition
Textbook for students
A school edition is a version of a book modified for classroom use, typically with annotations, study questions, or supplementary materials added.
Some school editions are bowdlerized—passages deemed inappropriate for young readers removed or altered: The school edition omitted the novel's graphic violence.
