Carnival percussion group
A samba band is a percussion ensemble playing Brazilian samba music, typically featuring drums, tambourines, shakers, and bells.
These groups range from small street performers to large carnival ensembles with dozens of players.
The term often describes community drumming groups outside Brazil that play in the samba style: The samba band led the parade through downtown.
