rose cuttings
Stem-based plant starts
Rose cuttings are sections of rose stem cut from a parent plant to grow new roses.
The cutting, typically several inches long with a few leaf nodes, is planted in soil or water to develop roots.
This propagation method produces plants genetically identical to the original: I started these bushes from rose cuttings taken from my grandmother's garden.
