rooting hormone
Plant propagation powder
Rooting hormone is a substance applied to plant cuttings to stimulate root development.
Available as powder, gel, or liquid, it contains synthetic auxins that encourage cells at the cut end to differentiate into roots: Dip the stem in rooting hormone before planting.
While many plants root without it, the hormone speeds the process and improves success rates for difficult species.
