rope walk
Long twine manufactory
A rope walk is a long, narrow workspace where rope is manufactured by twisting fibers together.
The length—sometimes several hundred feet—accommodates the full extent of rope being twisted.
The term also names a type of balance exercise where you walk heel-to-toe in a straight line, as if on a tightrope: The officer asked him to do a rope walk.
