rookie numbers

Laughably small figures

Rookie numbers are figures so low they're almost embarrassing—implying the speaker has far surpassed them.

The phrase comes from competitive contexts where beginners post modest stats that veterans scoff at.

It's used to dismiss someone's achievement as unimpressive or to boast about one's own superior performance: You've only watched the show twice? Those are rookie numbers.

Often delivered with mock encouragement to "pump those numbers up."
