ribbon bookmark
Sewn-in reading saver
A ribbon bookmark is a narrow fabric strip attached to the spine of a book, used to mark one's place.
Unlike loose bookmarks, the ribbon is permanently bound into the book and cannot be lost.
Common in Bibles, journals, and quality hardcovers: She slipped the ribbon bookmark between the pages before closing the novel.
