revivification
Restoration to life
Revivification is the act of bringing something back to life or vigor.
The word applies literally to resuscitation—restoring life to the apparently dead—and figuratively to renewing what has become dormant or neglected: the revivification of a dying neighborhood, the revivification of old traditions.
It carries more formal weight than revival.
