reverse grip
Inverted hand position
A reverse grip is a way of holding something with the hand rotated opposite to the conventional position.
In weightlifting, a reverse grip on a barbell has palms facing up rather than down: I use a reverse grip for curls.
With a knife or sword, it means the blade extends from the pinky side of the fist rather than the thumb side, often seen in tactical or cinematic contexts.
