reticulopodia
Branching cellular extensions
Reticulopodia are threadlike extensions of cytoplasm that branch and reconnect to form net-like structures, used by certain single-celled organisms for feeding and locomotion.
Found especially in foraminifera and related protists, these pseudopods capture food particles and pull the organism along surfaces.
The singular is reticulopodium.
