reshipment

Sending goods again

Reshipment is the act of shipping goods again—either returning them to their origin or forwarding them to a new destination.

The term appears in logistics and commerce when packages are redirected, when defective products go back to manufacturers, or when freight transfers between carriers: The damaged items await reshipment to the warehouse.
