reserve land
Set-aside tribal area
Reserve land is territory set aside by a government for a specific purpose, most commonly for Indigenous peoples.
In Canada and parts of the United States, reserves (or reservations) are lands held in trust for First Nations, Native American, or other Indigenous communities, where they maintain varying degrees of self-governance.
The term also applies to land designated for wildlife conservation, military use, or future development.
The treaty established reserve land for the tribe along the river.
