rescue harness
Emergency extraction gear
A rescue harness is a body harness designed to lift or lower a person during emergency operations.
Used by firefighters, helicopter crews, and search-and-rescue teams, it secures someone who cannot safely move themselves: The coast guard lowered a rescue harness to the stranded boater.
Unlike climbing harnesses, rescue harnesses often allow quick attachment to unconscious or injured victims.
