repatch

Mend once more

To repatch is to patch again—applying a new patch to something previously patched, or replacing an old patch with a fresh one.

The term appears in software contexts, where systems may need repatching after updates break previous fixes, and in physical repairs: I had to repatch the drywall after the leak came back.

Also used for reapplying medicinal patches.
