regional rankings
Local comparative lists
Regional rankings are comparative standings within a defined geographic area rather than nationally or globally.
They measure how entities—schools, sports teams, hospitals, businesses—perform relative to others in the same region: The university climbed three spots in the regional rankings.
Regional rankings matter when local context affects what's being measured, or when competing nationally isn't relevant.
