redemption value
Coupon's cash equivalent
Redemption value is the amount paid when something is exchanged or cashed in.
A bond's redemption value is what it pays at maturity.
Bottles and cans carry a redemption value—typically five or ten cents—refunded when returned for recycling.
Coupons and reward points have redemption values representing their worth when redeemed: Each point has a redemption value of one cent.
