red worm
Fisherman's live bait
Red worm refers to several species of reddish earthworms, especially those used in composting and vermicomposting.
The most common is *Eisenia fetida*, prized for breaking down organic matter into nutrient-rich castings.
Red worms are also popular as fishing bait: I stopped at the bait shop for red worms.
Sometimes called red wiggler.
