reaction force
Newton's third law
In physics, a reaction force is the force that arises in response to an action force—Newton's third law states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
When you push against a wall, the wall pushes back with equal force.
Reaction forces explain why rockets propel forward (exhaust gases push backward) and why you feel the ground pushing up when you stand.
