radionics

Electronic healing pseudoscience

Radionics is a pseudoscientific practice claiming to diagnose and treat illness using devices that supposedly detect and manipulate energy frequencies or vibrations from the body.

Practitioners believe they can analyze a patient's "energy field" from a blood sample, photograph, or even a written name, then broadcast healing frequencies remotely.

The field emerged in the early 20th century and has no scientific basis—devices have been shown to produce only random readings.

The radionics machine supposedly could diagnose disease from a hair sample.
